Paraffin

According to Wikipedia, the correct name for this type of fuel is kerosene. We in the United Kingdom (almost uniquely in the English–speaking world) call it paraffin, although "Liquid paraffin (called mineral oil in the US) is a more viscous and highly refined product which is used as a laxative."

On its Jet fuel page, Wikipedia describes Jet A and Jet A-1 (the latter of which was given as an acceptable alternative answer to this question) as a type of kerosene.

All things considered, "kerosene" would seem to be a more correct answer than "paraffin".
